I posted an article earlier this year about Microsoft’s plan to end support for Windows 7 in January 2020. As the end of the year approaches, I thought it would be a good idea to remind anyone that is still using Windows 7 about this.
The article, which you can find by clicking here, covers options for upgrading or getting a new computer, as well as ways to make sure you get all your important data transferred to your new computer. I hope you find it helpful.
Update: Where Have I Been?
You may have noticed that it’s been quiet on this site for the past few months. I’ve been spending quite of bit of my time writing an iOS app. It’s a travel journal that makes it easy for everyone traveling together to share the same photos, locations, and notes.
The app takes a lot of my time, leaving less time for writing for this site. I will try to do more regular posts here as there is still a lot to cover, especially with the recent release of iOS 13!
Also: I’m at the stage of app development where I could use some testers. If you’re interested in seeing the app and helping me test it, leave me a comment below. I’d love to have your help!
Thank you for the Windows 7 update it was very helpful 🙂

I don’t think I want to stop using Windows 7 ever!

I understand that. Lots of people feel the same way. Unfortunately the risks of hacking and problems keep increasing. Several of my family members have been pretty happy moving from Windows 7 to Window 10, after a brief adjustment. Good luck!
